Walks Against Elder Abuse 2021

At 10am on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, 15 June, hundreds of Tasmanians join COTA Tasmania in walks to raise awareness of elder abuse. Past walks have seen older people, choirs, high-school students, aged care workers, community organisations and public sector workers band together to spread the word to their wider communities that we all have a role to play in preventing elder abuse.  The walks are empowering and end with a morning tea provided by councils where people from all sectors and ages mingle in a positive, informal atmosphere.

Please join us on 15 June in 2021, when we’ll be marching in Burnie, Launceston and Hobart, COVID restrictions permitting. To sign up for alerts about the walk and associated events, email lynm@cotatas.org.au.
